Himachal Pradesh bus accident: A private bus carrying around 50 people onboard reportedly fell into a gorge in Banjar area of Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh today, June 20, 2019. A rescue operation is being conducted, however, according to the Superintendent of Police Shalini Agnihotri 33 people have died and 37 have been severely injured in the incident. It has also been reported that the death toll may increase as several passengers were sitting on the roof of the bus.
The bus had started from Banjar and was on the way to Gadagushani. Reports say that the incident took place in the mountainous area of Kullu district. The gorge was 500 feet deep. Those who were injured were taken to Kullu Civil hospital.
