International Yoga Day: PM Modi shows how to practice Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation.
International Yoga Day: The world celebrates 6th international Yoga Day today, June 21, 2020. Yoga is a practice to bring harmony to the body, mind, and soul. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was the first to suggest this very day to be celebrated as Yoga day worldwide during a speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on September 27, 2014, performed Yoga along with several participants at an event in Jharkhand’s Ranchi last year. According to reports, as many as 30,000 people took part in the main event last year.
PM Modi shared several videos ahead of the big day through his Twitter handle which reflected his enthusiasm on the Yoga practice. The Prime Minister’s video questioned people if they have made the Yoga practice part of their daily routine.
