Lok Sabha elections 2019 Dates: The wait for the announcement of the general election dates is going to end as the Election Commission of India (ECI) is likely to announce the Lok Sabha elections 2019 dates and state assembly polls today, March 10, 2019. According to reports, the dates are likely to be announced at a press conference to be held by the ECI in Vigyan Bhawan at 5:00 PM today.
The Lok Sabha Elections for 545 seats has been scheduled to be conducted during the months of April and May and according to reports in leading websites, the election is likely to spread over a couple of phases. The Election Commission of India may also announce the assembly election dates for the states of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh.

Also, as per reports in ANI, the Election Commission of India has allotted common symbols to 39 registered and un-recognised political parties for the upcoming general elections. Moreover, the EC has issued an advisory to all national and state political parties to avoid displaying photographs of Defence personnel or photographs of functions involving Defence personnel in advertisements, or while campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha or State Assembly Elections.
