Lok Sabha election 2019: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the general elections 2019 dates on March 10, 2019 during a press conference at 5:00 PM. The General Elections 2019 will be conducted in seven phases in April-May, beginning from April 11. Check out the full schedule here.

Lok Sabha Election Dates, Schedule 2019: The Election Commission of India had announced the dates of the upcoming general elections and assembly elections of four states during a press conference at 5:00 PM on March 10, 2019. According to the announcement made by the Election Commission, the polls will be conducted in 7 phases from April 11 to May 19.

The Assembly elections dates for Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, and Odisha were also declared and according to the schedule, the state polls will be conducted simultaneously with the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. The Lok Sabha poll results has been scheduled to be declared on May 23, 2019 by the Election Commission of India, as revealed by Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora.

Meanwhile, following the announcement of the general election dates by the Election Commission of India on Sunday, the Model Code of Conduct came into effect for all the political parties. Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora also assured that any violation of the Model Code of Conduct will be dealt in the strictest way.

According to the latest reports, the current term of the Lok Sabha will come to an on June 3, 2019. It has also been revealed by Arora that 90 crore people are eligible to vote in the upcoming elections out of which, 1.5 crore fall in the age bracket of 18 and 19 years.
