In a significant development, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated All India Radio’s special FM channel, ‘Kumbhvani,’ in Prayagraj today. The FM channel, operating on 103.5 MHz, will broadcast live commentary on the Maha Kumbh 2025, offering a window into the historic religious event for millions of devotees across India and the world.
During the entire duration of the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, which runs from January 10 to February 26, 2025, Kumbhvani will provide live coverage of the grand bathing rituals, cultural events, and significant activities. The channel aims to promote the Kumbh’s age-old traditions while providing crucial information to devotees, especially for those unable to physically attend the event.
Yogi Adityanath expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for initiating the channel. He highlighted that Kumbhvani would take the essence of the Maha Kumbh to remote villages, connecting people who may not have had the chance to visit the Kumbh site.
Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. L. Murugan, also joined the occasion virtually. He commended the efforts of CM Adityanath and others involved in launching the channel in record time.
