Employment Programme: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced to inaugurate employment programmes for 1.25 crore residents of Uttar Pradesh on Friday, June 26. This program is specially designed to provide jobs to every deserving unemployed youth of the state of UP during this pandemic situation. A number of people are out of jobs, the Indian economy is suffering a severe financial crisis and this announcement seems to have given huge relief to the people of UP state.

According to reports, PM Modi would also talk to the beneficiaries from the 6 districts of the state, including Gorakhpur. Women beneficiaries are also likely to share their experiences with him. Furthermore, CM of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has also asked authorities for skill mapping of the labourers so that work can be provided to them accordingly.

Yogi Adityanath has also added that Uttar Pradesh is among the six States which has been chosen for the campaign which involves the implementation of 25 different types of skill activities in this Abhiyan which will help the workers to find employment. He stated that PM Modi has also launched Garib Kalyan Rojgar Yojana on June 20 which aims in boosting livelihood opportunities especially to the migrants/rural citizens who have returned to their own state from other states.

Meanwhile, former chief minister and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav attacked Yogi Adityanath on the issue of promising to provide a crore of jobs to the people of the state.

According to reports in leading news websites, “The chief minister said he provided a work crore at a rally, but someone should go and ask people what they have in their bags,” Yadav wrote on his official Twitter handle on Tuesday.
