Pranab Mukherjee Passes Away At 84, Leaves Behind A Legacy And A Whole Nation In Grief

The condition of Pranab Mukherjee declined on Monday morning as he suffered a septic shock due to his lung infection, the Army's Research and Referral Hospital said.

Mukherjee was the 13th President. He served in the tenure from 2012 to 2017. He was hospitalized for a clot in his brain on August 10 and later he underwent an operation. On the other hand, he was diagnosed with Covid-19 prior to surgery. He was known for his hard work, dedication and discipline.

Venkaiah Naidu (Vice President of India) tweeted, “Deeply saddened by the passing away of former President, Shri Pranab Mukherjee. The country has lost an elder States man in his death”.

Ramnath Kovind, President of our country treated, “Endowed with perspicacity and wisdom, Bharat Ratna Shri Mukherjee combined tradition and modernity. In his by decade long illustrious public life, he remain ed rooted to the ground irrespective of the exalted offices he held. He endeared himself to people across the political spectrum.”

The whole nation mourns the death of Pranab Mukherjee. The year 2020 has brought several bad news not only in India but all across the globe. After a long political career in which he held several top posts including Finance and Defence Minister of India, Mukherjee now reaches heavenly abode.
