Video: Amid a protracted LAC standoff with China, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who is on a three-day visit to Ladakh was seen chanting popular Sikh prayer, “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh (The Sikhs belong to God, God is Victorious).

Ladakh is a controversial area so far as India is pushing for complete disengagement in friction areas in its eastern sector.

In the video, the minister can be seen syncing with soldiers while chanting the prayer.

Addressing the event on the second day, Rajnath Singh said that in a message to China, India will always remember the sacrifices of the Galwan Bravehearts.

Assuring the strong capabilities of India’s armed forces, Rajanth Singh said that country’s armed forces can give a befitting reply to every challenge.

Twenty Indian Army personnel were killed in clashes with Chinese troops in Galwan Valley on June 15, 2020. It was one of the most serious military intensification between the two sides in decades.

Singh further added that the focus should be on finding a solution for issues through dialogue with neighbouring countries. But at the same time it doesn’t mean that India will tolerate if someone tries to threaten it.

Meanwhile, the defence minister also inaugurated 63 road projects implemented by the Border Roads Organisation in Ladakh.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recently expressed his happiness after inaugurating 12 road projects constructed by Border Road organisation on June 17 after inaugurating the Kimin-Potin Road in Assam’s Lakhimpur district. The inauguration ceremony took place at Bilgarh.

BRO has constructed a 20-kilometre double-lane road that will facilitate the establishment of Arunachal Pradesh’s proposed industrial belt. The road will also be the main highway for the Lower Subansiri district.

Praising last year’s braveheart soldiers of Galwan Valley who showed exemplary courage and valour in the line of duty, Defence minister Rajnath Singh said that he salutes all brave soldiers who laid down their lives fighting for our nation.

He made this statement while inaugurating road projects constructed by BRO in the Northeast.
