BCCI President Sourav Ganguly in Home-Quarantine after brother Snehashish tests COVID-19 positive

In June, there were rumours that Snehashish was corona positive. But in an interview, the former player made it very clear that not him but his wife was COVID-19 positive.

BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly went into home quarantine after his elder brother tested positive for COVID-19. Snehashish, the Cricket Association of Bengal secretary and elder brother of BCCI President, has been admitted to the Belle Vue hospital after his COVID report came positive, according to reports in a leading website.

CAB official in an interview, told that Bengal’s former first-class player, Snehashish was suffering from fever from last many days. The official informed that his reports arrived late in the evening. Snehashish was tested at a private pathology lab in Kolkata. This was the first report, second is yet to come.
BCCI officials informed that Sourav Ganguly, following all the health protocols went into home quarantine for the time being. The elder brother had shifted to their ancestral house, in Behala after his wife and in-laws at his Mominpur residence tested positive for the virus.

The step by Sourav was taken roughly since his elder brother’s wife has also tested positive for Coronavirus. This is not the first time the news of Snehashish infected by the Coronavirus surfaced. In June, there were rumours that Snehashish was corona positive. But in an interview, the former player made it very clear that not him but his wife was COVID-19 positive. On the contrary, the reports said that Snehashish’s wife and mother in law both are tested positive for the deadly virus.

Snehashish while talking with the media, expressed hope that the rumours may be cleared very soon. The former India captain was, however, unavailable for a comment on the development. Recently, during an interview with one of the leading media organizations, Sourav Ganguly spoke at length about how life around him has changed, making people more vulnerable.

Further, Sourav told that his brother visits their factories on a daily basis and now he is more at risk. So needed to take enough of precautions. So far, West Bengal has reported more than 32,000 confirmed cases of Corona, out of which more than 11,000 are still active. Kolkata Police has also asked the CAB to set up the quarantine centre in Eden Gardens for a while due to rising cases of Corona in the city.
