Black lives matter: New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday and his wife Lauren pledged to fight for social justice and showed their commitment by announcing a huge amount for charity. Jrue Holiday announced that he will donate the remainder of his 2020 NBA salary, which sums up to $5.3m for the social justice cause.

According to reports, Jrue said that both he and his wife were just sitting in the house and thinking about it when Lauren said, “I think you should do this and you should do the rest of your salary”.
“That’s a great idea. Because we want to make an impact. God has blessed us with so much. Holiday said, ‘$ 1m will go to Black-owned businesses in about a dozen cities across the country. Up to $ 1.5m will be donated to communities in New Orleans and Los Angeles, and up to $ 1m to communities in Indianapolis.
Holiday said that he feels his donation will help to combat socio-economic racism. My pledge will benefit the black communities and raise them to a new high.
