IIT JAM 2021: A notification has been released on the official website of JAM – jam.iisc.ac.in to ensure that candidates can take admission to their favourite institute, IISc will hold Joint Admission Test for M.Sc on February 14, 2021. The application form for the exam is releasing on August 10, 2020.

IIT JAM EXAM and APPLICATION FORM Release Dates Revealed:

Candidates who want to pursue Post Graduate degree courses can apply for the new notification that has been announced on the official website of IIT JAM, 2021. JAM is a national level online entrance exam, held for admission to M.Sc, Joint M.Sc – Ph.D, M.Sc – Ph.D dual degree, etc. programmes.

JAM is conducted by IITs and integrated Ph.D degree admission in IISc is also done via JAM scores. JAM 2021 shall be held for 7 subject papers, which are biotechnology (BT), mathematical statistics (MS), physics (PH), chemistry (CY), geology (GG), economics (EN), and mathematics (MA). Aspirants can appear for any 2 papers.
The online application process will close on October 15 and the exam will be held on February 14, 2021.

IIT JAM exam will be held in two sessions:

1. The first section includes exams for biotechnology, mathematical science, and physics
2. While session two will be for chemistry, economics, geology, and mathematics.

IIT JAM 2021 EXAM PATTERN

Candidates who wish to fill admission form for IIT JAM 2021, will have to take the exam online as JAM 2021 exam is a computer-based test. Candidates can choose to appear for two exams, however, they will have to ensure that both the tests are in different sessions. JAM 2021 Exam will have Objective type questions which are divided into three categories.

  • Multiple Choice Questions
  • Numerical answer type questions
  • Multiple selection questions

Admission will be made in order of how a candidate scores in a particular exam, depending upon the number of seats. Those who clear any exam under JAM 2021 will be eligible to apply for the courses corresponding to the same.

Candidates will have to submit amount for their exam fee, is categorised according to their category.

One test-    Rs.1500.              Rs. 750
Two tests-  Rs. 2100            Rs. 1050

IIT JAM ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants should have at least 55 per cent of 5.5 out of 10 CGPS in their qualifying degree to be eligible to appear for the exam. For reserved category candidates, the cut-off is 50 per cent. In the minimum marks category, no rounding-off will be allowed, as per official rules.

IIT JAM 2021 PREPARATION TIPS:

Candidates can check below some preparation tips for IIT JAM 2021 exam:

1. Candidates must go through the complete exam pattern and syllabus.
2.Must solve the previous year question papers.
3. Make a proper study time table and follow it on a regular basis.
4. Solve the online or offline mock test to score good marks and to be aware of the exam pattern.
5. Eat healthy food and maintain your health to stay fit.

IIT JAM 2021 ADMIT CARD:

Candidates can download the admit card through online mode from the first week of January 2021.

A printout of the downloaded admit card must be delivered to the test centre alongside the original and valid photo identification.

No candidate will be permitted to appear in JAM 2021 examination without a valid admit card and original ID.

The IIT JAM 2021 admit card must be kept by the candidate and produced at the time of admission.
