MHT CET 2021: Registration Process To End On July 7, Check Exam Pattern

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT) CET 2021 registration process has been opened today which will ned on July 7.

MHT CET 2021: The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT) CET 2021 registration process has been started on the official website mhtcet2021.mahacet.org, Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant said.

The applications will be available till July 7, the minister said. The entrance examination is being conducted for the first year of Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Agriculture, and other professional programmes at participating institutions.

Samant tweeted, “Registration for the MHT-CET 2021 Entrance Examination for the first year Engineering / Technology, Pharmacology and Agricultural Education for the academic year 2021-22 will start today from 08/06/2021 to 07/07/2021,”

Details of the MHT CET exam for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes will be announced separately, the minister added.

Along with the application forms, the State Common Entrance Test Cell, or CET Cell, Maharashtra, which conducts the exam, is expected to release the notification. The notification will consist of eligibility criteria and other details.

According to the previous year’s examination pattern, the exam will take place on the basis of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education syllabus.

According to the criteria, MHT CET will take place for three papers – Paper 1 (Mathematics), Paper 2 (Physics, Chemistry), and Paper 3 (Biology). Each paper carries 100 marks for multiple-choice questions.

Twenty percent weightage is given to the Class 11 syllabus and the remaining 80 percent to the Class 12 syllabus of the Maharashtra board.

As per the MHT CET 2021 exam pattern, the exam will take place on the basis of a three-hour computer-based test.

The qualifiers of MHT CET 2021 will be allotted to different colleges of Maharashtra based on scores in the exam.

MHT CET is one of the popular exams where around three lakh applicants appear in MHT CET every year. It is one of the toughest exams and applicants every year prepare tediously to appear for the exams.

All the candidates who have passed/appearing that is HSC/12th Standard or its equivalent. Indian Nationality is eligible for MHT CET 2021. There is no age bar for admission and appearing to MHT-CET 2021
