As Assam recorded over 5,460 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection on Thursday, the government of Assam Friday, May 14, issued a notice for pasting posters outside the residence of COVID-19 positive persons in the state.
The Chairperson of the State Executive Committee of the State Disaster Management Authority has directed the state Disaster Management Authorities and concerned district officials to paste posters outside the residence of COVID-19 positive persons in order to distinguish the location and protect others in the community.
“Further, pasting of posters outside the residence of COVID-19 positive persons will be done only if such a residence is used by COVID-19 positive person for self-isolation or quarantine purpose,” the notice said.
However, the posters will be removed from the persons’ house as soon as persons turn COVID-19 negative, the release further stated.
