Two days back, a model named Isabelle Eleanore was asked by an Australian airline to cover up herself for wearing a revealing outfit. Eleanore, who was sporting blue jeans and a black crop top felt humiliated after being advised to wear a high-vis jacket on the flight as a crew member thought it was inappropriate. The model, who was travelling from Australia’s Gold Coast to Melbourne shared a post on her Instagram account revealing the incident she had encountered that day.
Taking to her official Insta handle, Eleanore wrote, “I feel as though I need to address last night’s event. This is rhetoric on society as a whole, not just the lady who signed me out,” further adding: “To be publicly shamed and humiliated over a clothing item and/or the exposure of skin is archaic and discriminatory behaviour.”
Eleanore said that she had dealt with eight persons from the airline before boarding the airplane, and then was she stopped by a cabin crew member. Isabelle claims her massive assets were causing trouble for the crew member on the flight she boarded on Monday. She said: “Apparently my top is too small and I couldn’t fly without “covering up” according to reports in The Sun.
Reportedly, the flight attendant made a few phone calls and then came back with a high-vis vest for Isabelle to cover up her breasts. Isabelle said that she had to walk all the way to aisle 26 wearing the high-vis vest she was given by the cabin crew member. She further said that the Jetstar flight attendant expressed that she was surprised as no one prompted this to her at the terminal earlier. Isabelle said the lady looked at her as if she was disgusted for seeing her flaunt her breasts in the small crop top.
