Assam Assembly's Budget Session Is Set To Commence In Kokrajhar On February 17
The budget session of the Assam Legislative Assembly will begin on February 17, marking a significant milestone for the state. This year’s session will be held in the Bodoland Territorial Region for the first time. Kokrajhar will host the opening day of the session, making it a historic event.
Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya will deliver the opening speech on February 17 to formally start the budget session. This momentous occasion will set the tone for the discussions and proceedings that follow.
The session will run from February 17 to March 25. The first day in Kokrajhar will be followed by a one-day break. On February 19, the session will resume at the Assam Assembly complex in Dispur. This year, there will be 14 working days dedicated to the session.
