Bipul Kumar Dey death: APCC spokesperson succumbs to COVID
Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) spokesperson Bipul Kumar Dey has succumbed to Covid-19. He was in GMCH in ICU for the last few days.
APCC spokesperson, Bobbeeta Sharma in a condolence letter on behalf of the Assam Congress party said, “It is with a heavy heart we inform you that APCC Spokesperson Bipul Kumar Dey has succumbed to Covid. He was in GMCH in ICU for the last few days.
Bipul Kumar Dey was a young, energetic and articulate Spokesperson who used to regularly participate in debates and discussions in electronic media on behalf of the Congress party. His demise is an irreparable loss for the Congress family.”
“APCC President Sri Ripun Bora along with office bearers of APCC and Chairperson Media Department Smt. Bobbeeta Sharma and members of the Media Department extend their heartfelt condolences at the untimely and shocking demise of Bipul Kumar Dey. We pray for the eternal rest of the departed soul,” the letter further stated.

Assam has recorded over 3290 new positive cases of COVID-19 out of the 36,135 tests conducted as of May 9, 2021. The active cases of positive cases stood at 36,005 while the number of death has been recorded to be 48. Kamrup Metro alone reported 1346 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus.
