The legendary singer says his symptoms are mild. Requests fans ''not to worry''.
Legendary Playback singer, S P Balasubramanyam has tested positive for Covid-19 and has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai, the singer revealed in a Facebook live video.
In the video, the singer said that he has mild cold and fever and revealed he had chest congestion winch according to him was odd for a singer. So, he decided to go for a test of Covid-19. As he was confirmed positive, though the doctors advised him that he could stay at home, he decided to get admitted to the hospital as he would find it difficult to stay at home with the family members being around.

He further revealed that he is fine and hopes to get discharged soon as he has very mild symptoms. He asked fans not to worry and not to call him up to check on his health although he expressed his gratitude for their wishes. He said that he is in ”good hands” and is being taken care well and that nobody has to worry for his health, which he says is in ”good condition.”
As soon as the video was posted, fans and celebrities alike poured in heaps of wishes for his speedy recovery.
S P Balasubramanyam is an Indian playback singer who has sung over 40,000 songs predominantly in South Indian languages. He also carved a niche in Bollywood with his impeccable singing voice. He is a recipient of National Award 6 times. He is also accredited with civilian awards Padmashri and Padmabhushan. The singer had lately sung a song during the lockdown to spread awareness about Covid-19.
