Unlock 3.0: Fresh guidelines issued for Assam

The state government of Assam has released fresh guidelines to open malls, gyms, barbershops from Monday. These guidelines were issued by Assam government Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishan. He said,” All the above activities are only be allowed with strict compliance by maintaining social distancing, wearing masks etc and all other protocols as issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on July 29.

The situation which is prevailing in Assam and looking into the latest guidelines issued by the state Assam- malls, gyms, all shops, business establishments and office will be functioning on one side of the road on alternate days in Kamrup Metropolitan district and in other districts too from Monday to Friday between 7 am and 5 pm.

It is mentioned in the latest guidelines that restaurant and hospitality services will function all days except Saturday and Sunday. whereas, hotels will be allowed on all 7 days while maintaining COVID-19 protocol. On the other hand, malls and gymnasiums are allowed to operate between Monday to Friday on the same side of the street in Kamrup Metropolitan districts and on both sides in other districts.

People do not require to take any special permission for inter-district movement for travelling. However, inter-district will only be allowed on Monday and Tuesdays. All the state and government sectors which include banks, insurance companies will be functioning with 100%  attendance except pregnant women employees. So, women employees who are pregnant have got relief.  To commute, bus transportation will be provided to employees so that they may not face any hassle.

Non- contact sports in an open space will be allowed while maintaining social distancing norms whereas, Entertainment parks, Theaters, Cinema Halls, Bars, Assembly Halls, Auditoriums and all other places of the public gathering will remain closed. Large congregations in religious places, public places, social, political functions or sports and academic events are banned. People over the age of 65 years of age and children below 10 years should refrain themselves and are advised to stay indoors.

However, the movement of individuals will be strictly prohibited from 6 pm to 6 am and no-one will be allowed to travel on Saturday and Sunday. If anyone found violating any rule then they will be penalized with a fine of Rs 1000. Recently, in the last 24 hours, Assam has recorded 10183 active coronavirus cases, 1085 recovered, 3 deceased and with 1457 confirmed cases in the state.
