Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Thanks PM Modi To Initiate Free Vaccination Programme

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday took to Twitter to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for helping Assam in initiating an effective free vaccination campaign to provide free vaccination for all citizens

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for helping Assam in initiating an effective free vaccination campaign to provide free vaccination for all citizens.

He also urged everyone to get inoculated and respect the dream of the Honourable Prime Minister of making India a corona free country.

He informed that Assam is runnings its COVID 19 campaign with alacrity and all ministers and health staff are working in tandem to ensure vaccination for all.

Elaborating on the campaign in detail, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that they had undertaken massive IEC activities to generate positive public response for the Intensified Free Vaccination Camps across Assam. Branding of Model Vaccination Centers are being done extensively. ASHA workers have also been mobilised to generate greater demand for Covid vaccination.

Explaining the vaccination programme’s motive, Assam CM adds that their vaccination campaign is been based on (jan bhagidari) public participation. After having administered 54,07,620 doses so far, they’re all set to scale up vaccination, and their 2,184 (22 pvt) centres are passionately working, and in a festive fervour, to realise the dream of PM.

At the end, he expressed his gratitude for everyone.

Meanwhile, in a series of tweets, Assam CM emphasised the importance of Yoga. Today on the occasion of International Yoga day, Assam CM participated in a yoga session along with Honourable Ministers and MLAs at the campus of NHPC at Gerukamukh in Dhemaji.

He also highlighted the importance of yoga amid Coronavirus and encouraged the youth to participate in the session. Amid the Covid pandemic, yoga, which is India’s invaluable contribution to the world, boosts immunity, energy and positivity.

Some section of Youth who are under the bad influence of drugs, should also embrace yoga and reap benefits. To participate in yoga, a person is required to go yoga centres that have been established under Assam Yoga Prakalpa in development blocks all over the state.
