President Donald Trump is all set to work on an executive order, which will help in providing a merit-based immigration system.

The White House passed a statement that came soon after the president’s interview with a news channel Telemundo, where he said he is working on an executive order of immigration that will encompass “a road to citizenship” for the beneficiaries of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

While answering a question, Trump stated, his actions on DACA is all set to be a part of a huge bill on immigration. “This is a quality bill with a merit-based aspect that will incorporate DACA,” stated Donald Trump.

The White House mentioned in a statement that the President has announced to establish a merit-based immigration system that safeguards the interest of the US workers. The White House further stated that the President had previously said that he aims to work with Congress on a negotiated legislative solution on DACA, which will incorporate citizenship along with a a border security and permanent merit-based reforms.

Unfortunately, Democrats have always refused the offers to secure our borders, and amnesty has nothing to offer, asserted the White House.

In his interview, Trump alleged that opposition had withdrawn their support to him on DACA. “Democrats always declined their support. The issue of DACA would have been solved two years back,” said the President.
