The Queen of Twitter and the Princess of progressives, New York Representative, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez maintains a high-profile but gets nothing done despite her name and fame. A recent study shows she’s one among the least effective members in the U.S congress.

A new non-partisan study released by Vanderbilt University and the University of Virginia shows AOC is ineffective when it comes to governing, as her legislation received no action in committees- including no floor votes and none of her bills or ideas ever became law.

The study shows AOC introduced a total of 21 bills since 2018 defining them as “substantive” and all of them fell flat in the face and ended right there as her bills received little or no support from both Republicans and Democrats alike but only managed to create a storm in the news and social media circles.

The study ranked her at 230 among the 240 Congressional Democrats in terms of effectiveness highlighting she only talks about the big game, creates lots of noise with her bold ideas but never really gets the work done. Also, among the 19 Democratic lawmakers from New York City, AOC was ranked last.

“She (AOC) introduced a lot of bills, but she was not successful at having them receive any sort of action in committee or beyond committee and if they can’t get through committee they cannot pass the House,” Alan Wiseman, a Vanderbilt political scientist and co-director of the center, told The Washington Post.

The Squad, consisting of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley.

AOC, who is a part of the ‘Squad’ show that the other freshwomen congresswomen Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley fare far better than her as they sponsored more bills at the table including one becoming law, as per the study.

AOC, who tentatively ended up being the face of the Democratic party, angered Republicans with her over-the-top agendas including her stance on providing a path to citizenship to illegal aliens and openly declaring to allow people who show up at the border enter the United States unchecked.

Several of AOC’s bills which got the attention of the media and liberals from Twitter died at birth- including the federal overhaul of public housing, a ban on fracking and the infamous mandate to provide full federal public benefits to illegal immigrants, never saw the light of day.

It was previously reported that even Democratic legislators found AOC’s approach to lawmaking alienating and she rubbed off Nancy Pelosi the wrong way with her statements. “Tweeting is easy, governing is hard. You need to have friends,” said an unnamed Democratic insider to the Washington Post in a word of advice to AOC.
